Our Guest House is situated in the historical district of Esztergom at the foot of the Basilica and it was built in the last 1790s.
In the name of the guest house, the ‘Ister’ is a Greek name for the lower reaches of the River Danube.
According to the information in the archive ‘valiant’ Antal Kasztóry second lieutenant lived in the house in the 1920s. He was the functionary of Order of Valiants, and the seat of Order of Valiants was in the house. Esztergom (Ister-gam) word in Sumerian means ‘bend, curve of God’ because ‘gam” in Sumerian means sickle, bend and curve. The name of Esztergom means simply ‘Danube Bend’.

In order for our Guests to have memorable time in our guest house, we have provided many programme magazines, maps and brochures.
An intimate cellar belongs to our guest house which is opened for our Guests.
Useful information
Reservation, cancellation
You can reserve the accommodation from 2:00 p.m. on the date of arrival, and notify us the exact time that day in text message or in e-mail, please. On the departure day before 10:00 a.m. is requested to leave the guest house. After that the reservation deposit is no longer refundable.
Air-conditioning
Due to the location of the big apartment, it has a natural microclimate, which eliminates the need for air conditioners. Our rooms and the courtyard provide with pleasant temperature for rest and stay in summer, too.
Our small apartment is equipped with air conditioning.
Parking, keys
For two cars is provided free parking inside the courtyard. Our Guests are given own key to the guest house, which may be kept themselves for duration of their staying.
Payment, deposit
You can pay in cash or by SZÉP card (K&H, OTP, MKB). We request 50% deposit at booking which you should transfer to this account: 10403648-67534954—55511006. You have to indicate in the announcement your name, the starting date of reservation, the number of booked nights and the number of the Guests. E.g. Anna Nagy, Esztergom, 15. 04. 2016, 6 nights, 2 Guests. Your reservation stays in temporary status until your deposit arrives – for not more 1 week. If during this time the deposit is not received, your reservation will be cancelled.
Cleaning

Detailed description of apartments
The furnished kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, coffee, tea-kettle, tea, basic spices, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven and pots, from here a magnificent view of the adjacent White Tower. This apartment also has a living room and dining area.. In our bathrooms there are soap, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer, towels and washing machine.
The use of wireless internet service is free.
